APPLE GUIDE
Our first harvest occurs in early August, ensuring we have apples ready for opening day, with new varieties brought in weekly throghout the season. Harvest dates can be estimated in the chart below, but spring weather and summer temperatures can change harvest dates by as much as two weeks.
While we can give you a guide on what’s best for baking, sweetness, tartness, etc, the best option is for you to visit our market and taste for yourself. We are always happy to provide samples of what we have for you to decide.

| Melrose | This Jonathan, Red Delicious cross, developed at Ohio State University in the 1940’s, is the official Ohio State apple. It is large, with yellow-green skin flushed with red and dappled with russet. It is firm, crisp, and juicy. Our customers choose this apple for eating after Christmas when it develops a fruity aroma. | Early October | |
